Doom Eternal

June 17, 2025

Doom Eternal is an absolute powerhouse of a first-person shooter. From the moment you step into the Slayer’s boots, you’re treated to a relentless, exhilarating combat loop that’s as satisfying as it is challenging. Every encounter feels like a brutal ballet—fast, fluid, and ferociously fun. The gameplay constantly keeps you moving, thinking, and adapting, rewarding aggressive play and mastery of your arsenal.

Visually, the game is stunning. The graphics are sharp, detailed, and dripping with hellish style. From burning demon-infested cities to sprawling alien landscapes, every environment is packed with character and atmosphere. Pair that with Mick Gordon’s heavy, pulse-pounding soundtrack, and you’ve got an audiovisual experience that never lets up. The music alone is enough to get your blood pumping.

One of the more underrated features is the Fortress of Doom—your personal hub between missions. It’s a fantastic addition that adds a welcome sense of progression and immersion. Exploring it, unlocking upgrades, and even checking out collectibles gives a nice break between the chaos of combat.

If there’s one small nitpick, it’s that the game’s ending feels a bit abrupt. After such an epic journey, I was expecting a bit more of a payoff or epilogue. But honestly, that’s a minor issue in what is otherwise a near-perfect package.
