Monument Valley 3

January 25, 2026

I played Monument Valley 3 on mobile, and it worked extremely well in that format. The touch controls felt natural and smooth, making it easy to interact with the puzzles and environments without any friction.

Having already played Monument Valley 1 & 2 on PC, most of the puzzles felt familiar and fairly straightforward. That said, the game still managed to make me stop and think a few times, which I appreciated. The difficulty curve was comfortable overall, but the final puzzle stood out as a real challenge — tough, but very satisfying to solve in the end.

As expected from the series, the atmosphere is exceptional. The visuals are beautiful, the music is calming, and the sound design is subtle but immersive. Everything works together to create that signature Monument Valley feeling of quiet wonder.

One of my favorite additions was the boat. It provided a nice pause between puzzles, letting the game breathe and giving moments to simply enjoy the world rather than constantly solving something. It was a small change, but it added a lot to the overall pacing.

Overall, Monument Valley 3 is a cute, fun, and polished experience. It may not be overly challenging for veterans of the series, but it delivers exactly what you’d hope for: thoughtful puzzles, stunning presentation, and a relaxing, memorable journey.
